Brunel has been ranked 6th in the UK and 35th in the world, in a new Times Higher Education Ranking of the top 100 universities under 50 years old.Brunel performed particularly well with regard to the international outlook of our staff, students and research, reaching 6th in the world, 3rd in Europe and 2nd in the UK. This performance category measures the international outlook of staff, students and research with Brunel scoring 90 out of a possible 100 points.
Brunel University has enjoyed considerable league table success this year. We are now 44th in the Guardian Newspaper’s 2013 league table, a rise of 38 places over last year. Brunel was ranked first out of 77 institutions for Social Work, up 19 places on last year. Art and Design came second out of 81 institutions. History and History of Art (4th), Anatomy and Physiology (5th), Sports Science (17th), Music (17th) and English (18th) were the other Brunel subjects ranked in the top quartile. Brunel has also climbed from 50th to 41st in The Complete University Guide, risen from 49th to 39th in the 2012 Sunday Times University Guide, and jumped from 308th to 261st in the latest Times Higher Education world university rankings. We also climbed 78 places in the 2011 National Student Satisfaction Survey.
